DualLayer vs. TriLayer Acrylic Patches

DualLayer acrylic uses a two-color layered construction. Laser engraving removes the face layer in the engraved areas to reveal the contrasting color beneath, creating a clean two-color design with sharp definition.

TriLayer acrylic adds a third color layer, giving compatible designs another color level to work with. It is a strong option when the artwork benefits from more visual separation or a more complex layered appearance than a standard two-color engraving can provide.

Artwork, Shape and Size

Simple, bold artwork usually creates the clearest acrylic engraving. Strong line work, readable lettering and well-defined negative space translate particularly well. Very small details or thin elements may need to be simplified for a cleaner result at patch scale.
